Computer Prodigy
Carlo Acutis was fascinated by computers from an early age. He taught himself how to program and built websites. He used his programming skills to create a website about the Eucharistic miracles that have occurred throughout history. The website, which is now maintained by the Carlo Acutis Association, has been translated into 16 languages and has received over 1 million visitors.
Eucharistic Miracles
Carlo Acutis had a deep devotion to the Eucharist. He would often spend hours in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. He also volunteered at a soup kitchen, where he served the homeless. Carlo believed that the Eucharist was the key to salvation and that it could transform the world.
Death and Beatification
Carlo Acutis was diagnosed with leukemia in 2006. He died on October 12, 2006, at the age of 15. In 2020, he was beatified by the Catholic Church, making him the first millennial to be declared a saint.
